This story took place yesterday, Friday evening.
Hubby is outstation at Johor and said that he won't be back to KL until Sunday, so that being said, my weekend trip to KL was canceled. If I were to fly on that day, my flight schedule was at 7.20pm with Fireflyz.
After work, I went straight back home and reached house around 5.10pm. I felt kinda hungry and went to kitchen to cook for dinner. I was enjoying my dinner when the phone rang. Dear hubby asked me if I were to go to airport at this precise moment, can I still make it to board the plane? Confused and checking the clock, 6.11pm. I said "I think so". So, he said "quick, pack your things and board the plane!"...and suddenly the line was cut, I was still confused of what should I do. I took a few of my clothes, make-up and put all the things in my newly bought bag laptop while waiting for another call from my hubby because I don't know either he's joking or serious. After about 2 minutes, he called again using public telephone (his phone must be battery out) but I couldn't hear his voice clearly. I tried to keep calm and listen closely to the receiver.. I heard his small voice saying "quick go to airport!" and that was that.

Quickly, I put my laptop inside my bag, put my dinner in the fridge (I don't have time to wash it, do I?), wore jeans and out to my car. The time was 6.15pm++. My flight was 7.20pm, the rule is I should check in one hour (or minimum 45 minutes) before the boarding time, so I should be in the airport before 6.20pm. The distance from my place to the airport usually will take more than 30mins. I drove as fast as I could, I saw the meter was running at 100km/hr and thank God... there was no traffic jam during that time, phew..
At one of the red traffic light, I message my husband and said that I will try my best to reach airport on time. I sent the message to make sure my husband is prepare if I missed the flight, but actually that message was also for me, to remind me not to put too much hope in this so that I won't be too sad if this whole plan goes down the drain.
I reached airport at 6.30pm, I was praying hard that the flight is delayed so I can still board the plane, obviously because I've passed the one hour checking time rules. After I parked my car, I ran towards the airport lift and because I'm starting to panic already (not that I'm calm before that, but this time I was really panic + nervous + confuse), I forgot where the check in counter for Fireflyz (=___=)"
After wasting 2 minutes panicking (seriously, I was walking back and forth don't know which way should I go), I regained my composure and starts to think calmly. Inside, I said to myself "okay relax and think, what should I do now?". I then asked the people at the scanner counter and they said it's at Counter C. I ran to the counter only to find out there was no queue, not even one customer within 5 meter radius, but there was still people at the counter, another phew...

Then I saw, the screen above the checking counter "COUNTER CLOSED"
Panic and hoping. I said to the lady in the counter "Can I still check in?" sounded pleadedly. Another thank God... she said "yes, sure, but no bags" Relief, I said "okay". I checked the time, it was 6.35pm.
While the lady was busy registering me in the computer, my hubby was calling me but I just couldn't bring myself to pick up the phone in front of the lady because I'm scared to interrupt the lady and make her angry or something and then she won't allowed me to board the plane (I know I'm a bit silly to think like that but I was really scared, knowing now I can board the plane, I was hoping so much to see him v__v).
After I got my confirmation check-in ticket, I rushed to the first boarding gate and called my husband at the same time to tell him I've made it! At the first boarding gate, I was surprised to see a looooong queue and the police airport said to me I can jump the queue if I felt like I won't make it on time to the last boarding gate and so I jumped the queue, hahahaha... I explained quickly to the guy before me and he said okay and I said thank you. He must have seen a bit panic in my face hahaha.
Another surprised, the guy was actually heading to the same gate as me! It was so embarrassing.. I only know this after I saw him again at the last boarding gate o.o
This is one of my interesting journey to the airport and a lifetime story that will be told to my children, if I have any, in the future :)
