Singapore Trip

I went to Singapore on 13 - 15th October. It was a work trip, explain why I have couple of pictures only. The one interesting about this work visit was we managed to see how the Singaporean produce their 'NeWater' as one of their source of drinking water.

I think if we don't know the history of the NeWater, we might drink it as naturally as mineral water, because it's pack nicely into a 350ml bottle and looks like any drinking water in the market. The visit was exhausting and dry, but none of us open the NeWater bottle to quench the thirst.. hehe, fortunately for me, I brought my orange bottle from the hotel ^___^

NeWater is produce by treatment of the wastewater (should I say sewage?) and the quality by far superseded natural water. When I asked the Singaporean representative, has she drink it? She smiles and didn't directly answers my question, instead she said that "the water we usually drink come from the river/sea/etc is actually from wastewater also, as we know we discharge our wastewater or treated wastewater back to water source (river/sea/etc), so indirectly we are consuming the treated wastewater, same like NeWater, just that for NeWater it's a direct process".

In a way, I know she's right.

I brought two bottle of NeWater, one for the house and one for my office. My hubby drink the NeWater bottle knowing what it is and he said, it's what any water should taste like. The other bottle, none of our office mate dare to drink it, yep it's a matter of perception.

I still don't dare to drink it, hahaha... even though I'm in this industry, to drink the treated wastewater will take a long long long time for me to make my decision, after I make the decision, it will still take me more time to realize that decision, to open the white cap and put the bottle in my mouth :P

Greetings For 2013

Hi!!....

Wow.. I just pass one year without New Year and Christmas greetings.. Well, there are so much happening in my life right now, it actually started happening few months back but I'm just not in the right mood, or should I say.. emotional unstable, to write a blog even just a few words.

The things is, someone new came into my life. Yep, I'm a mom now ^_______^

I'm quite busy with my new routine and my little attention seekers, oh yeah that someone is a 'he' ^^, Now, I need to care two men in my life, one is my hubby and the other is going to be someone hubby.

Oh, and one of my bestie got married last October!! I should share this news sooner but yeah I was 7 months preggie that time and like I said, I was totally in @#$%^&&* mood, lol! Nevertheless, she and husband went to Singapore for their honeymoon and she got me this..

I really love the chocolate spoons, I ate it in one go.. thank you bestie!!!! Now, I'm waiting for my other bestie to get married soon! hopefully this year, finger cross! :)

Am I gonna change after being a mom? Truth is, I'm also not sure... Let's just hope, if I do change, it's for a good cause. For sure, my passion for make up is not changing, I still wear makeup.. yes.. of course I am.. I am, you can rest assure... yeah, foundation.... eyebrow liner... pressed powder.. well, at least I won't get out from my house without having my eyebrow done...

But I'm Alone

When I'm on the floor, I wish a hand to pull me up

When I'm too sleepy to make my own, I wish someone to make me a cup of milk

When I'm trying to wear my pants, how it be good for another pair of hand to help me get in

When I'm hungry early in the morning, how much I want to hear "let's get up and eat"

When I feel like everything is hard, I wish a comfort without a word

When I'm on my bed, I wish a hug to hold me dearly

These I wanted, but I do understand the distance

When I trust him that he miss me so, I hope he shows it like he says it

When I feel like I'm alone, please don't make me feel anymore than that

I know that life is hard, but together it will be bearable

How can I understand it, if a sigh is all I get

I'm not someone, I'm not everyone

For I am your woman

carrying your child.

Where does the Love go?

It's been a month I didn't post anything here, but I'm still alive..

Sometimes Facebook makes me sad, looking someone's status, their walls, their new uploaded pictures.. It makes me sad and hurt, and when that happens, I hate clicking Fb icon on my browser, afraid of what new things will be up that will make me sick looking at it.

What happened recently in fb making me question life once again. I have a guy friend, we've known since our matrix year, I noticed his relationship status with some new girl, not with his wife anymore. I know his wife, both he and his wife is our friend, me and my hubby. So, I thought oh maybe his wife changed her fb account and made a new one, but why different name? and I thought oh maybe they are just playing around?

Even when I confronted my hubby about this, hubby said maybe they're having problem in their marriage. But still I didn't believe it. I went and said to my hubby that maybe his fb has been hacked, and I asked my hubby to check with him about the relationship status.

That's how I've been reacting about it. I didn't believe that he is having an affair with other woman behind his wife back. Why affair? I had this feeling, his wife wrote at his fb wall, love you and miss you, just a month ago before this stuff goes out. And now, he decided to make it loud, that's when his wife stop posting anything on her fb wall. It's heartbreaking. Where does all the love go? I thought he is a loving husband, I thought he care about his wife so much remembering all the things he told me about him worrying over his wife everytime his wife went holidaying with her friends outside the country and all that sort of things. Those stories he told me was what keeping me believing himself. Until, he proved himself otherwise.

I hate married man behaving like a single man, I hate married man confessing he is available and unattached.. and most of all, I hate married man, goes after another woman before breaking properly with his wife. If you are a man, at least do it properly. Break your wife heart, do it, and then go chasing the other woman.

Life is short

Today, I had lunch with my colleague friends, it's been a while since the last time I join gathering like this. This gathering was held as a remembrance for our dear friend who passed away few weeks ago due to accident. Everyone was shocked when the news got them, it took a while to digest and accept it that he was no longer with us. Me, myself didn't took the news so seriously at first, I hope that it was just some miscommunication somewhere in between.

Even when the news was confirmed by his family members, I still can't believe it, not just me, my besties, friends and no need to mentioned his family, of course. It reminds me that life is short. I didn't give a damn about those sentence, life is short, yeah, it is short, so?. He had planned everything. He was planning to get engage in a few months, he had bought new furniture, he just got promoted and a promising career ahead. All was according to plan. I was really sad knowing these things. I need to see my dear friend for the last time, not only to give him last respect, but to really confirm with my own eyes, that he was gone, no longer here, not able to call him with his nickname anymore. Once I saw him, eyes closed, hands clasped, laid still in there, it took a few minutes more to take everything inside me and slowly... one by one subsided, I believe, he was truly gone forever.

Now, ever since the incident took place, I always think that I may not live tomorrow, to do the things that I promised I would do, to feel and move things the way I want it, to say I love you to my loved ones. I may not have the chance tomorrow. The things that we took for granted because we say there is tomorrow, so tomorrow it will be. Every morning when I wake up, I have these thoughts. I want to do the things that I enjoy, I long to be with my hubby, I want to wake up to his face every morning, I want to feel the day feeling tired and coming home together with him, I want to sleep beside him and no longer feeling afraid even if I had bad dream. I know that this distance is temporary, but after my friend incident, temporary may take a while and I would may not lasted any longer than a while. After all, life is short.

Until we meet again, dear friend.

New Year Disaster!!

My new year was a combination with lots of emotion.. sad, angry, anxious, panic, worried, depressed, rude, ignored, obnoxious, upset, dissatisfied, annoyed and a lot of actions involved, shouting, laughter and love :D

The actions happened between hubby and me, of course. We were both being angry, depressed, dissatisfied, annoyed to the point of being rude to each other because we were panic, worried, sad, obnoxious and upset. We were shouting, blaming and I started ignoring him after a few minutes because I realized that he said something that made me thinking that 'he is not himself right now', he was trying to annoy the hell out of me actually. Ohhh mmm gee, if you saw us fighting and shouting that time, you'll be surprised that we were laughing our self together after that, lol!

What happened on new year day?

We were at my hometown to attend my cousin's wedding, we drove from town at 9am++ and arrived around 11am++, it was raining the whole time on the way to my hometown. We waited my mum at my aunt's house to go together to my cousin house, but because I'm too hungry and it's already 1.30pm++, I told my hubby that we better go ahead.

Upon arriving at a specific junction, I suddenly realized that I don't remember which junction to take exactly. Last time I went there was three years ago and I'm not the one driving so I don't remember that much. What I remember is there is one junction that we always take since childhood  (I grew up in my village until I'm six years old before move out to town), but the road looks bushy and looks like it's not being used for quite sometime already, so I was skeptical to take that road. Nevertheless, I told my hubby just to take sneak peak to that junction and he drove slowly entering the junction. The road was gravel, muddy and slippery because of the rain. The gravel road descends (30 degrees) to a small stream and I assumed there is a low level crossing somewhere across the stream but can't be seen because of heavy rain this morning.

We stopped half way before reaching the low level crossing (which I assumed there is), this time we both know that it was unlikely our small car can move across that stream and then up the steep (almost 45 degrees angled), rocky, muddy, gravel road on the other side. Hubby was trying to reverse the car but to our horror, the car can't move that much because the gravel road was muddy and slippery. This time we started to panic, worried and anxious. After a few times trying but still couldn't reverse the car, hubby suddenly drove forward down the stream and I'm worried that it will worsen the situation if we move forward and thus the fighting began... (let's just skip this part, lol!)

Okay, now we were already at the side of the stream. We starting shouting and I was so upset with him. At one point of the shouting event, my hubby made a statement (with judgmental tone I tell you) that he will never say under normal circumstances or even when he try to make me angry. For a second, I was angry when I heard it, but then I was like "eh? something is not right... it sounded too simple". Being with my hubby for years already, I know that the words he use to annoy people don't have to be coated with critical tone but sarcastic tone, yes. This time, it sounded too easy to understand ;p

I returned his 'judgmental statement' with ignorance. Yes, I just ignored him, hahahaha (evil mode). I realized that there is no point arguing because both of us were picking holes in the argument, proof is he used simple words and making sentence too easy to understand! which is not like him at all, lol!

Finally, we left our car stranded at the side of the stream and walked upward to the main road waiting for any relatives to pass by. Not long after that, we saw a pickup lorry, quickly hubby waved to them and they stopped, they agreed to give us a ride to my aunt's house. We sat at the back of the pickup lorry and despite the fresh breeze, beautiful green scenery at left and right of the road, the sound of calm stream along the way, we continue arguing.

When both of us can't understand what the other said or even our own sentences, we suddenly laughed. We laughed and still continue arguing until we reached my aunt's house.... no, actually until we were on the way back to town. It was already around 8pm++.

It became the most frustrated, annoying and hilarious journey of our new year day. My hubby said that we should never allow our self to enter Amazing Race. I agreed :)

The Last Day of 2011

I'm writing (literary) this blog at 2am++ while hubby is beside me sleeping soundly. I've been feeling sick since last two days, diarrhea + vomiting, making my body so weak. It might be because of the medicine that I'm taking right now, it's Chinese herbs to cleanse my kidney as prescribed by a Chinese singse.

Yesterday, hubby and me watched movie together at GSC Suria, movie Sherlock Holmes. We were planning to watch another Chinese movie after that, I forgot the movie's name, but because I'm not feeling well, we decided to go home after Sherlock Holmes. We reached house at 5pm and I went straight to my bed. I slept for almost 6 hours! only to wake up around 12am++, poor hubby, he didn't have any dinner just some fruits, he spent the entire time playing games on his laptop while I'm sleeping.

That's why I'm still wide awake at this hour. I realized that it's already 31st Dec now, so that makes this is the last day of 2011.

Happy enjoying your last day of 2011, guys!!

Our First Wedding Anniversary

After Christmas celebration on the 25th, we went back to KK on the 26th afternoon. We had our dinner with my hubby's friend, Marisse on that day.

On the 27th, we started our holiday journey to Ranau. It's quite a funny story actually because I don't know which road to take to Ranau. At first, we took the road heading to Tambunan and thank goodness I realized something was wrong before going farther and farther away from KK town. I contacted my besties and they told me to take the Tamparuli road. It took us almost two hours to our destination.

Lesson learnt: bbq at Kundasang is a very challenging task, make sure you have good quality charcoal, fire starter and even better  fire gun.

We stayed at Kiram's Village. I was quite disappointed with the chalet because they don't allowed BBQ if you took the couple room unless you take the house chalet (for 10-15 person). In the end, we BBQ at the cafe, we rented the BBQ set for rm12.

That was yesterday.

Today, we woke up around 9am and we went to town to search for atm machine but couldn't find any. Then we drove to National Park because we thought there might be atm machine somewhere there, but it was hopeless, haha. After asking around at the cafe near National Park, it seems that there is bank at Kundasang town, so we went back to the town to take some cash.

We decided to go to Ranau town without any plan actually, but it's just a 15-20 minutes drive, around 15km far. At Ranau town, we bought a lot of fruit, mango, mangosteen, durian and rambutan. I also bought tempoyak which is my favourite! I saw lot of bambangan but didn't buy any because I don't know how to make the jaruk bambangan.

We drove back to Kundasang town at 12pm and went straight to Desa Cattle. I was so happy because they have the bookmarks and fridge magnets available for sale! hehe, I finished almost rm70++ just for bookmarks and fridge magnets, oh and also two small boxes fresh milk and chocolate flavours.

It was only 2pm and we finished touring Desa Cattle, so hubby said we better go to National Park instead of tomorrow, because we still have some time before night came. At National Park, we paid rm3 for each adult tickets, we drove our car touring around instead of walking, yes we are that lazy, hohoho.

On the way home to our chalet, we saw strawberry garden and decided to drop by to see if there's strawberry for sale or even strawberry plucking. Too bad, all the strawberry was sold in the morning and there's no plucking strawberry activity offered, huhuhu..

We stopped by Kundasang Memorial Park and spend time there around 30 minutes only because it's started raining. We reached our chalet around 4pm and we were exhausted.

We just had our dinner just now, I ordered Lamb Chop and Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis, while hubby ordered Chicken Curry with Rice, we paid rm33 including my Nescafe O and hubby hot Milo.

What a day, all in all.. I was happy and satisfied with the outcome of our unplanned activity for today :)

Wisdom Tooth

I have my wisdom tooth taken out today! Phew... my planning was to go to government clinic and make an appointment for the removal of both left and right of my lower wisdom teeth. I was very lucky to have it taken out today without making an appointment. I heard the patient in front of me, she got an appointment in July next year!!! Imagine that you have to wait for another 7 months!

The dentist remove my left wisdom tooth and I was nervous through the whole process. Thanks God everything went well just now and I was so happy the tooth is now gone forever after making me suffered for 10 years!

I'm going to the same clinic again in two weeks time to remove my right wisdom tooth. I am very lucky ^_____^

The Ring: Which Hand?

One of my friend already has plan for E-day and W-day. We were discussing which hand to put the e-ring, either left or right?

I put my e-ring on my left hand (ring finger, next to pinky finger). On my E-day, me and hubby-then-boyfriend, both don't know on which hand the e-ring goes, but all the witnessess during that day pointed that it goes to the left hand, which of course the same goes with my wedding ring.

My friend said that she was made to understand that the e-ring will be in her right hand and w-ring on her left hand. I know that this system is the same with Muslim society. Maybe Chinese also follows the same rules (she'll be marrying into Chinese family).

"It is believed that the ancient Romans began the practice of placing the engagement ring on the left ring finger, which they believed contained the "vena amoris" or vein of love which supposedly connected directly to the heart. Other ancient cultures, including the Egyptians, also used such symbolism, and even today the tradition persists both with engagement rings and wedding bands. In fact, wedding bands are placed first on the left ring finger to be closest to the heart." [source: http://engagementrings.lovetoknow.com]

Looks like I'm following ancient Romans tradition :) The explanation why the left hand? I like it, vena amoris.

I googled and also found out that actually on your wedding day, the e-ring will goes to the right hand because the w-ring will goes to the left hand. Only after the wedding day, then the e-ring will be place back on the left hand, on top of the w-ring.

Me? On my wedding day, I put my e-ring in its box :p I have this feeling, that the w-ring don't want to share any of the fingers with anyone... err rings. Also, during the exchanging w-ring ceremony, I wanted to gaze all my fingers, bare and naked. After the wedding, I decided not to put the e-ring back because I felt like I wanted to concentrate on my w-ring only.

To look upon my fingers with only the w-ring, a reminder that I am someone wife already :)

For My Friend

At last my bestie is resigning from her current job. She told us that she has tendered her resignation yesterday at 4pm and I'm so happy to hear it.

Me and my other bestie has been telling her to resign her job because she has been working there for the past 5 years and her lady boss doesn't appreciate her. She's been working overtime, coming to office on saturday and sunday, working and sleeping in the office until morning, preparing everything whatever her boss wants, especially when the clock struck 5pm and worst they didn't get any overtime claim. No nothing. To top it up, her boss only gave her rm50 rise in salary. That was sad, looking how long she's been working in the company, the contribution she has given, the not enough sleep, the stress and the weekend sacrify she has made just for the company.

Not forgetting her lady boss is a bad boss. Her boss always say things to downgrade people, she loves to crush people self esteem and only act 'kind' whenever she 'feels' that her employees is going to resign all together, which there has been a case where 2-3 person has tendered their resignation in one month.

That's why we fully support her resignation. Even if she doesn't get any offer yet, she should just resign and enjoy the days until she got an offer. We say this because she doesn't have any comittment, no credit card to pay, no car monthly payment, no house rent, no loan, she doesn't have anyone to support, she's living with her parents still, her parents both still working and she only has 2 siblings with one of them already working, so she can survive all this.

During her working time with her lady boss company, she often fall sick because of working overtime and also due to stress. She should enjoy her days relaxing while waiting an offer to knock on her door.

Rushing to the Airport!

This story took place yesterday, Friday evening.

Hubby is outstation at Johor and said that he won't be back to KL until Sunday, so that being said, my weekend trip to KL was canceled. If I were to fly on that day, my flight schedule was at 7.20pm with Fireflyz.

After work, I went straight back home and reached house around 5.10pm. I felt kinda hungry and went to kitchen to cook for dinner. I was enjoying my dinner when the phone rang. Dear hubby asked me if I were to go to airport at this precise moment, can I still make it to board the plane? Confused and checking the clock, 6.11pm. I said "I think so". So, he said "quick, pack your things and board the plane!"...and suddenly the line was cut, I was still confused of what should I do. I took a few of my clothes, make-up and put all the things in my newly bought bag laptop while waiting for another call from my hubby because I don't know either he's joking or serious. After about 2 minutes, he called again using public telephone (his phone must be battery out) but I couldn't hear his voice clearly. I tried to keep calm and listen closely to the receiver.. I heard his small voice saying "quick go to airport!" and that was that.

Quickly, I put my laptop inside my bag, put my dinner in the fridge (I don't have time to wash it, do I?), wore jeans and out to my car. The time was 6.15pm++. My flight was 7.20pm, the rule is I should check in one hour (or minimum 45 minutes) before the boarding time, so I should be in the airport before 6.20pm. The distance from my place to the airport usually will take more than 30mins. I drove as fast as I could, I saw the meter was running at 100km/hr and thank God... there was no traffic jam during that time, phew..

At one of the red traffic light, I message my husband and said that I will try my best to reach airport on time. I sent the message to make sure my husband is prepare if I missed the flight, but actually that message was also for me, to remind me not to put too much hope in this so that I won't be too sad if this whole plan goes down the drain.

I reached airport at 6.30pm, I was praying hard that the flight is delayed so I can still board the plane, obviously because I've passed the one hour checking time rules. After I parked my car, I ran towards the airport lift and because I'm starting to panic already (not that I'm calm before that, but this time I was really panic + nervous + confuse), I forgot where the check in counter for Fireflyz  (=___=)"

After wasting 2 minutes panicking (seriously, I was walking back and forth don't know which way should I go), I regained my composure and starts to think calmly. Inside, I said to myself "okay relax and think, what should I do now?". I then asked the people at the scanner counter and they said it's at Counter C. I ran to the counter only to find out there was no queue, not even one customer within 5 meter radius, but there was still people at the counter, another phew...

Then I saw, the screen above the checking counter "COUNTER CLOSED"

Panic and hoping. I said to the lady in the counter "Can I still check in?" sounded pleadedly. Another thank God... she said "yes, sure, but no bags" Relief, I said "okay". I checked the time, it was 6.35pm.

While the lady was busy registering me in the computer, my hubby was calling me but I just couldn't bring myself to pick up the phone in front of the lady because I'm scared to interrupt the lady and make her angry or something and then she won't allowed me to board the plane (I know I'm a bit silly to think like that but I was really scared, knowing now I can board the plane, I was hoping so much to see him v__v).

After I got my confirmation check-in ticket, I rushed to the first boarding gate and called my husband at the same time to tell him I've made it! At the first boarding gate, I was surprised to see a looooong queue and the police airport said to me I can jump the queue if I felt like I won't make it on time to the last boarding gate and so I jumped the queue, hahahaha... I explained quickly to the guy before me and he said okay and I said thank you. He must have seen a bit panic in my face hahaha.

Another surprised, the guy was actually heading to the same gate as me! It was so embarrassing.. I only know this after I saw him again at the last boarding gate o.o

This is one of my interesting journey to the airport and a lifetime story that will be told to my children, if I have any, in the future :)

Broadband Package

It's Friday, I got two and a half hour of lunch break. I went to Celcom Service Centre @ Damai, wanted to ask them why there's an outstanding payment from my previous phone line under my account name. My account with them already closed because I changed my phone line from individual to supplementary line under my husband account, retaining the same phone number.

I thought I already paid the outstanding payment before they closed my account which at that time I paid rm30 and I understood that it was for my bill payment. When I explained this to the customer service person, she said that the rm30 was actually for advance payment for supplementary line. I got confused because I'm pretty sure the lady who was in charged during that time, said that I have outstanding payment which I have to settle first in order for her to terminate my account and put my phone number as a supplementary line under my husband account. Now, the lady in front of me said different thing.

I probably didn't know I have outstanding payment rm60.20 if I didn't apply for the rm48 package broadband. The agent said that they can't activated my broadband package if I didn't settle the outstanding payment first. I was surprised by that and even surprised because the amount is more than rm50.. huh, I can eat pizza hut for 4 person set with that sum.

At the end, after much arguing and inquiring, I paid the outstanding payment (this time for real) because I wanted the rm48 package broadband. I'm using the rm98 package broadband currently and I can save rm50 every month with this new package. It's the best deal I can get by paying the rm60.20.

But, don't you think is not logic? Say, if there is no promotion for the rm48 package broadband, then I won't come to Celcom Service Centre. I won't know about any outstanding payment and Celcom also won't get their rm60.20 FOREVER from me. They are doing ineffective money collecting strategy.

Hopefully, their computer is right, I don't have the time to check my bill from last November until now. But if I suddenly have the mood for it, I might check and track down my payment bill to ascertain that I did use the rm60.20.

My Hotmail Account Has Been Hacked!

Oh gosh! I didn't seriously think that this would happened to me. My account has been hacked exactly 12.33 am today. Here goes the message that go along with it :-

‎"von, I hated borrowing money from my friends I knew I had to make a move fast my expectations were more than exceeded http://xxxxx now I cant go anywhere without being recognized see if its for you"

"jer, it sucked being broke all the time I remembered hearing about a quick and easy solution this took all the extra stress off my back http://xxxxx its funny how people actually come to me for money just give it a try no pressure"

But this one is so true, haha!

"par, my spending habits ruined my credit I was ready to throw in the towel my expectations were more than exceeded http:/xxxxx now I feel powerful no pressure just check it out"

This is so embarrassing. Thank goodness, it was my hotmail, because it only has around 40++ contacts, if it was yahoo... the damage would be bigger, around 200++ contacts. I already reset my password, but when I think about it, does resetting your password to new one, will solve the problem? I don't think so.

If the hacker wants to hack it, they will and have hundred ways of doing it. They are hackers after all. So, I deleted some of my contacts, whichever email addresses that I don't need because I've been using other methods to contact all my friends and I don't forward emails. If the same thing happens in the future, I don't have to worry much more.
