Strong Wind

I woke up around 4am this morning from a bad dream. It was a dream about tornado. We were on a visit to some place that I can't remember. Outside the window, I saw 4 tornadoes coming towards us and we started to panic, nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. When the tornadoes hit the building, we tried to avoid the tornadoes by standing in between the tornadoes. When the tornadoes passed us, we were relieved but suddenly the owner of the building wants us to go back because if anything happened to us while visiting his place, he will be held responsible. Reluctantly, we board our bus and starts heading home. Along the way, we saw many houses shattered, cars wrecked, damaged road, everything was destroyed. It was sad and devastated.

I was scared. The bus was insanely speeding and nobody tried to warn or stop the driver, I was hoping someone will shout out at the driver to slow down, but no one did. Out of nowhere, few more tornadoes suddenly emerged from the ground to the sky, more tornadoes, I didn't count it because I'm in awed and shocked. I think everyone was. The tornadoes were coming towards us and chasing us! We were down and now up the hill, we tried to speed away from the tornadoes behind us and we didn't see the dead end in front, the road has collapsed leaving a big gap as if the ground has split into two... The driver didn't stop the bus or maybe he can't, so we just went free fly....

and I woke up.

Outside my window the wind continues to blow, I saw my window curtains being pushed and pulled so hard because of the wind.  I heard the sound of helicopter passing through. I checked the time, 4.32am. I was frightened because I thought the tornado was coming. I really did. The rain keep dancing with the wind and thunder come and go as it pleases, I saw bright light every seconds. Strangely, the roar of the storm seems far away all these while. All of a sudden, the wind blows harder and I saw it, a very bright light that lasted for more than a second outside my window. It was so bright that you'll believe it was a day light outside. Then, poffft! the electricity went off. At that moment, the fear took over my body, my heart was beating faster and even the sound of it pumping blood was so clear in my ears. I wish my hubby is here with me.

I was really scared and trying to close my eyes and ears from the bright light of thunder and the angry storms that now can be heard.

Bangkok 2011: Shopping Spree ( Part 2)

SUNDAY, 18th (3rd day)

Sunday, it's Chatuchak. We reached there around 11am. We only spent a very short time there (compare to my last visit, my friends and I went there 9am-5pm), we went back to our hotel around 3pm, uh huh...

Of course, Tom Yam Kung !~

Coconut again! I love the taste :D

Our night activity was going to watch the lady boy show, it's Mumba err.. I forgot.. but it's lady boy show, I can't show the pictures here because it's mmm.. 18SX hehe. After the show, we went night walking around our hotel area. One of my friend wanted to buy these things... yucks!

 beetles and frogs! yuccccckkkkkk!

 praying mantis?

bees?

MONDAY, 19th (4th day)

Again, Platinum tee-hee.. I found out that Platinum actually has three zone. Zone 1 and Zone 2 are connected building but Zone 3 is not connected, you have to go out from Zone 2 exit and Zone 3 is just next door.

I captured this for next time guidelines :)

I started at Zone 2. There is an accessories shop on the left from the entrance door, they sell around THB80 for wholesale accessories, I bought my vintage butterfly ring here also, too bad I didn't catch the name of the shop.

I bought two dress at the 222 shops, he sells all his clothes THB200! :D

Interesting shop, but I didn't ask the price for their clothes, next time maybe.

I bought two see through vest/jacket @ THB350 for wholesale price (THB450 for one piece)

Vibrant colour, most of the fashion is using a see-through material such as chiffon, lace etc. Must be probably because it's summer time.

I bought two colour contact lenses Fresh Look, each THB450 (5 pairs/daily usage) in Central World. I found out this shop located at fifth floor, Zone 1 or 2 Platinum, selling THB430 only!! Much more cheaper Y__Y

I bought two clothes here for THB200 each wholesale price (THB290 one piece). I like this shop, See Through!

I didn't bought any here, N-Rich, but I did bought one dress here during my first visit :)

I'll show my accessories in a different post later. I really like all the clothes, bags, shoes and accessories that I bought.

Until then, Bangkok.

Bangkok 2011: Shopping Spree ( Part 1)

My second visit to the city of paradise, shopping paradise to be exact, Bangkok, I come to you because I miss you. I spent 5 days and 4 nights at BKK and my itinerary consisted of shopping, shopping and shopping. I touched down at BKK International Airport on Friday 16th Sept, afternoon.

FRIDAY, 16th (1st day)

After checked in at our hotel, we went to Platinum. At first I didn't planned to buy anything on the first day, but then again... I did grab a few pieces of clothing :).

They use coupon system to buy food at the food court.

I chose this, it's yummy and crunchy!

Bird nest soup, my friend bought it for all of us

Mango with sticky rice

SATURDAY, 17th (2nd day)

I went to Platinum again while the others went for sight seeing. During my last visit, I already went to the Grand Palace so I decided to go to Platinum for shopping! I had my lunch at Platinum Food Court. After that, we met with the rest at Central World at 3pm by taxi. I realized that getting anywhere in Bangkok using taxi is cheap, almost THB100 from our hotel to all the shopping centre that we went, except for Grand Palace they said they paid around THB200, but it's still cheap.

Coconut! I love ittttt... I forgot the restaurant name

I'm not sure the name, but this actually otak-otak.

nice colour!

Morning glory aka sayur kangkung, delicious!

The famous Thailand rice

This fish was crunchy!! unbelievable super crunchy! I'm gonna miss the taste

aaa, and the much awaiting dishes... my favourite of all, Tom Yam Kung Thailand!

I found one interesting place in Siam Paragon, it's NaRaYa! they sell fabric bags with cute design and colours!

For my belly dance scarf, THB90

My favourite colour, pink (THB270) and brown (THB300)
The pink bag is for office use and the brown bag is for my belly dance class bag.

We went to Gourmet Market and I had the chance to survey their supermarket, bought tom yam paste and chilli paste for tom yam (hopefully my tom yam will have the same taste with Thailand tom yam using these two pastes!).

I laughed when I saw this, I mean BABI mild? in my language babi is PIG. The english word is Baby Mild.

We had our dinner at Siam Paragon around 9pm, we chose Japanese food this time. I ordered Salmon Jyu THB450 (the restaurant is expensive!! but thank goodness the food is super delicious!)

The Egg Tarts Can Wait

I'm at my home in KL right now since last Friday. My sis-in-law was the one waiting for me at airport because my hubby was outstation and only will be back the next day, Saturday upon completing his job.

Usually, when my hubby is the one fetching me from the airport, he will buy me KFC Portuguese Egg Tarts because he knows that it's my favourite! I was kinda sad that night, because I miss him so much and thought if he is here he will definitely bought me the egg tarts.

So, the next day, I was anxious waiting for him to come home. I messaged him in the morning asking when he will be back and he said it will be around evening. I kept myself busy watching animes and trying hard not to check the time every five minutes :)

I suddenly remember about my egg tarts, I was thinking to message him back to ask him to buy me the KFC Portuguese Egg Tarts before coming home that evening, but then.. I thought, he must be tired from working that morning and the long distance drive, furthermore I wanted to see him as soon as possible, so I just throw away my craving for the egg tarts. I said to myself, I still can get the egg tarts whenever I want after this, but him? I can't wait any longer to see him... The egg tarts can wait.

When I heard sudden knocks on the front door around 3pm++, my heart leapt to joy and I found my baby at the front door looking handsomely ever smiling at me. I quickly hugged him and then to my surprised, he reached my hand and gave me this box :D

KFC Portuguese Egg Tarts set of six at rm10++

 My Portuguese Egg Tarts, YUM-MEH!

I love you, my hubby! oh, and of course you too, Portuguese egg tarts!

Elastic Hair Bands

I bought these at Amcorp, rm3.90 each, but the boss gave me discount because I bought 6 pieces I paid only rm18 for it.

The Ring: Which Hand?

One of my friend already has plan for E-day and W-day. We were discussing which hand to put the e-ring, either left or right?

I put my e-ring on my left hand (ring finger, next to pinky finger). On my E-day, me and hubby-then-boyfriend, both don't know on which hand the e-ring goes, but all the witnessess during that day pointed that it goes to the left hand, which of course the same goes with my wedding ring.

My friend said that she was made to understand that the e-ring will be in her right hand and w-ring on her left hand. I know that this system is the same with Muslim society. Maybe Chinese also follows the same rules (she'll be marrying into Chinese family).

"It is believed that the ancient Romans began the practice of placing the engagement ring on the left ring finger, which they believed contained the "vena amoris" or vein of love which supposedly connected directly to the heart. Other ancient cultures, including the Egyptians, also used such symbolism, and even today the tradition persists both with engagement rings and wedding bands. In fact, wedding bands are placed first on the left ring finger to be closest to the heart." [source: http://engagementrings.lovetoknow.com]

Looks like I'm following ancient Romans tradition :) The explanation why the left hand? I like it, vena amoris.

I googled and also found out that actually on your wedding day, the e-ring will goes to the right hand because the w-ring will goes to the left hand. Only after the wedding day, then the e-ring will be place back on the left hand, on top of the w-ring.

Me? On my wedding day, I put my e-ring in its box :p I have this feeling, that the w-ring don't want to share any of the fingers with anyone... err rings. Also, during the exchanging w-ring ceremony, I wanted to gaze all my fingers, bare and naked. After the wedding, I decided not to put the e-ring back because I felt like I wanted to concentrate on my w-ring only.

To look upon my fingers with only the w-ring, a reminder that I am someone wife already :)

Drinks!

Fish Tank Style Carrot Juice! This is our second visit to Party Play! together
(third time for me ;p)

It's Black Soybean and Brown Rice+Nut
I bought these yesterday right after from my belly dance class
rm3.30 each at Recipe House, Damai.

BrownRice+Nut, it's kinda sticky and has strong smells of brown rice & nut. What do you think the taste was? At first, I kinda dislike the taste, but after gulping a lot, my tongue finds it quite yummy. I guess, this might not suit everyone tastes.
