The Last Day of 2011

I'm writing (literary) this blog at 2am++ while hubby is beside me sleeping soundly. I've been feeling sick since last two days, diarrhea + vomiting, making my body so weak. It might be because of the medicine that I'm taking right now, it's Chinese herbs to cleanse my kidney as prescribed by a Chinese singse.

Yesterday, hubby and me watched movie together at GSC Suria, movie Sherlock Holmes. We were planning to watch another Chinese movie after that, I forgot the movie's name, but because I'm not feeling well, we decided to go home after Sherlock Holmes. We reached house at 5pm and I went straight to my bed. I slept for almost 6 hours! only to wake up around 12am++, poor hubby, he didn't have any dinner just some fruits, he spent the entire time playing games on his laptop while I'm sleeping.

That's why I'm still wide awake at this hour. I realized that it's already 31st Dec now, so that makes this is the last day of 2011.

Happy enjoying your last day of 2011, guys!!

Our First Wedding Anniversary

After Christmas celebration on the 25th, we went back to KK on the 26th afternoon. We had our dinner with my hubby's friend, Marisse on that day.

On the 27th, we started our holiday journey to Ranau. It's quite a funny story actually because I don't know which road to take to Ranau. At first, we took the road heading to Tambunan and thank goodness I realized something was wrong before going farther and farther away from KK town. I contacted my besties and they told me to take the Tamparuli road. It took us almost two hours to our destination.

Lesson learnt: bbq at Kundasang is a very challenging task, make sure you have good quality charcoal, fire starter and even better  fire gun.

We stayed at Kiram's Village. I was quite disappointed with the chalet because they don't allowed BBQ if you took the couple room unless you take the house chalet (for 10-15 person). In the end, we BBQ at the cafe, we rented the BBQ set for rm12.

That was yesterday.

Today, we woke up around 9am and we went to town to search for atm machine but couldn't find any. Then we drove to National Park because we thought there might be atm machine somewhere there, but it was hopeless, haha. After asking around at the cafe near National Park, it seems that there is bank at Kundasang town, so we went back to the town to take some cash.

We decided to go to Ranau town without any plan actually, but it's just a 15-20 minutes drive, around 15km far. At Ranau town, we bought a lot of fruit, mango, mangosteen, durian and rambutan. I also bought tempoyak which is my favourite! I saw lot of bambangan but didn't buy any because I don't know how to make the jaruk bambangan.

We drove back to Kundasang town at 12pm and went straight to Desa Cattle. I was so happy because they have the bookmarks and fridge magnets available for sale! hehe, I finished almost rm70++ just for bookmarks and fridge magnets, oh and also two small boxes fresh milk and chocolate flavours.

It was only 2pm and we finished touring Desa Cattle, so hubby said we better go to National Park instead of tomorrow, because we still have some time before night came. At National Park, we paid rm3 for each adult tickets, we drove our car touring around instead of walking, yes we are that lazy, hohoho.

On the way home to our chalet, we saw strawberry garden and decided to drop by to see if there's strawberry for sale or even strawberry plucking. Too bad, all the strawberry was sold in the morning and there's no plucking strawberry activity offered, huhuhu..

We stopped by Kundasang Memorial Park and spend time there around 30 minutes only because it's started raining. We reached our chalet around 4pm and we were exhausted.

We just had our dinner just now, I ordered Lamb Chop and Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis, while hubby ordered Chicken Curry with Rice, we paid rm33 including my Nescafe O and hubby hot Milo.

What a day, all in all.. I was happy and satisfied with the outcome of our unplanned activity for today :)

Our Christmas Theme

Hubby and me :D

Matching colour :D

I'm very happy to find a matching colour for me and hubby, horray! I bought mine earlier at Parkson and hubby's at Metrojaya. It was quite a challenging task to look for a matching colour with mine, considering it's a very light and soft green colour.

The moment I saw this t-shirt, I was totally in love with it! Apart from the same colour with mine, it looks stylish and the material is good! (it's expensive that's why, hehe)

Metrojaya, rm150++

Parkson, rm90++ after 20% discount

Merry Christmas everyone!

Guess

I'm in love with this bag :D

Price, can I just skip this part?
This is by far the most expensive non-leather bag that I ever bought. So let's just skip it ;p

Estee Lauder: Michael Kors Christmas Collection

YaY! I got myself Michael Kors collection!!

There are three choices of makeup collection and I picked the soft tone (medium) makeup. The other two is more to the pink tone and dark brown tone. This collection worth @rm200, quite cheap right! but there is catch in it!

The makeup set inside

I really love the gold theme! and the makeup set too, I'm very lucky to have the makeup set come together with the theme colour that I like the most among the three.

This makeup bag was design by Michael Kors. Apart from the gold colour theme for this makeup set, the other two are silver (pink tone) and greyish black (darker brown tone).

I feel like rich people having this in my bag, lol!

This is the best I can get for the colour to show up, I really like the colour from second and third from bottom left side. It's soft pink and slightly dark chocolate.

The lipstick is dark brown with gold specs

A bit surprised to see the colour of lipstick. It's dark brown with a gold specs in it. The makeup set is more to soft tone colour so that's why they made the lipstick more dramatic I think. Thanks goodness the lip gloss can toned down it a bit. Suitable to use when you are having party or just wanna have a glamorous dinner.

I haven't use this eye pencil because I have other waterproof eye pencil so I wanted to try that first.

Double Wear Stay-In-Place Lip Pencil @rm68

This lipstick pencil didn't come with the collection. I bought it separately. To buy the Michael Kors collection, you have to buy any item from Estee Lauder meaning, it's purchase with purchase package. At first the salesperson recommended me to buy the cheapest Estee Lauder product which is their sharpener at only rm15, so overall I only have to pay rm215. After looking around a bit, I was thinking that it's better to buy their other product rather than just a sharpener which I'm not gonna use it frequently (almost 0% usage). I chose the nearest colour to my lips and coincidentally, the lipstick colour in the collection is also quite the same, so it's really a very good choice, I think :)

My only qualm is these two brushes are not too good because the bristles are quite stiff and not easy to maneuver. Such a pity because the look and colour are such glamorous and pretty.

I did mentioned before this that if I ever found a waterproof pencil eyeliner, I'll buy it! and I did. I found this at Watson and it's from Elite brand, I never heard of them before but I just want to try it out. I already wear this twice and so far so good. The colour is pretty intense and it really can make your eyes pop out. I think I'm gonna keep this in my bag.

Pinky

Greeny. Lately, I have a soft spot for green :) Christmas probably?

Besides makeup, I bought two ehem ehem.. Pierre Cardine bra. I got these two bras @rm98, the normal price would be rm79++ for each! Quite a good bargain right :) This is by far the most expensive bra I ever have. The second expensive would be my Audrey where I got two bras for rm68 and I absolutely adore both of them, plus there are three different ways of wearing it.

Haul: The Body Shop 2

I think The Body Shop has succeeded in hypnotizing me into coming again and again into their shop, hurm...

They have this section where for one item it's 30% less and if you bought four items it's 60% less!! I was thinking twice whether to buy it or not because most of the item in the section is manufactured in 2009 and 2010, making them quite an old or 'expired' item maybe.. I'm not sure how many years for a product to be classified as 'safe for usage' from it's manufactured date. I have heard before that all lipstick and eye product are advisable to use within one year after opening the item. I've also heard that it will be safe to use makeup product within three years from it's manufactured date.

Mineral Foundation SPF25 02 @rm33.20 (after 60% discount)

MMF Star Dusk 01 & 02 @ rm14 each (after 60% discount)

MMF Sparkle Roller Ball @rm16.80 (after 60% discount)

The items that I chose are pretty much safe I think even if it's already pass three years (emmm...)

Tea Tree Blotting Tissue @rm10.96 (after 15% discount)

Eye Mask Large 2007 @rm25.41 (after 15% discount)

Apart from the 60% discount items, I bought two other product, the eye mask and Tea Tree Oil Blotter Paper. I feel like rich people using the blotter paper, hehehe... because I only use oil blotter paper from guardian.

Polarized Spectacle Lenses

... and here I thought I had finished my shopping list for Christmas.

Ma called me yesterday morning asking me to buy her polarized spectacle because the one that I bought her a year ago has broken. She love fishing and that's why she needs the polarized spectacle. She was having a hard time explaining to me exactly what type of spectacle that she wants, part of the conversation goes "the type that you still can see the fish in the water while using it". I was 'huh?' ..and then she gave up ending her sentence with "just buy me the same one that you bought me last year".  I kinda know what it was but the problem was, I'm not so sure myself what's the name of such spectacles when I want to refer it to the shop later.

A few minutes later, ma called again and told me it's polarized spectacle. After work, I drove directly to CP to avoid traffic congestion (KK is pack with people and congested especially when Christmas is around the corner!) and went to the same shop that I bought ma spectacle previously. I chose a red shade spectacle this time because I love the frame design. All the black shade has a rather boring frame design and I think ma will love this one because ma is very fond of RED.

The Family Christmas Tree

There is so much to say this Christmas season. I have bought a Christmas tree for our family. For the first time, we will be having a Christmas tree in our living room!

It's 7 feet tall and I bought it at Parkson, 1B @rm240! It's cheaper compare to any other shop here in KK. I've done my survey at Wisma Merdeka, every year during this time of season, there will be a booth selling all kind of Christmas decorations and Christmas trees at the centre of ground floor. At 5 feet tall, they sell the Christmas tree @rm400++!! my gosh... thank goodness I didn't buy the tree there, instead I went to 1B and surveyed Parkson.

Parkson do sell the 8 feet tall Christmas tree @rm280 but the type of tree that I want already out of stock! They have other type which I don't like because the tree looks like having malnutrition, lol! I have to be satisfied with the 7 feet tall and I will bring it home this Christmas, actually I'm still not sure whether my sisters will put the tree up because I will reached home on 24th noon, it's kinda late to put the tree up but who knows, let's just see :)

MAC Christmas Collection

What's in this bag?

Part of Christmas Collection

Hol 11 Smokey Stack Pigment @rm148

This is how to open the ball, I love it!

4 types of colour

It's highly pigmented and the colour are just awesome.

MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack @rm72

Personally, I prefer Bobbi Brown but sadly, we still don't have it here :( I'm skeptical buying this kind of eyeliner because I'm afraid it will dry out fast, but the salesperson assured me that her own liquid eyeliner still 'workable' and it's been a year already. I don't want the pencil type because it's not waterproof and my eyes will look like panda if I use the normal pencil eyeliner. I don't know if there is any waterproof pencil eyeliner out there. If there is, surely I wanted to try it.

Select Sheer/ Loose - NW5 @rm90

I've been waiting to buy the perfect loose powder for myself. This time I really pampered myself getting this loose powder :D It's really sheer, doesn't look like I'm wearing any at all, but that's what I want. After I watched tutorial video from Lisa Eldridge, she said that less is more for 'older' people (I'm not that old, but yeah I'm at the very first stage of becoming old people, lol!), we don't want to use too much foundation, powder and etc etc. Too look younger, less is more. I agreed.

Eye Brows - Brunnete @rm62

I wanted to buy the same eyebrow colour actually, but I can't remember what it was that time, so I just picked Brunnete because I don't want a black eye brows pencil. When I checked my previous post, it was Stud.. hurmm... It's darker than Brunette. I'm still thinking whether to buy another eyebrow pencil-Stud, or just use the Brunnete and wait till it's finish, it's gonna take few months though. Last time, I used Stud for about four months with daily usage.

I wonder what are these for? It's free, these might be some Christmas decoration?

Haul: The Body Shop

Okay, I can't forget the Shimmer Cubes by The Body Shop, the colour are fantastic. I tried the Shimmer Cubes palette 22 and it lasts all day long. I have to get the other colours, at least another Shimmer Cubes? :D

Shimmer Cubes Palettes 23 @rm79.90

The colours are:-

01 Shade: Orchid Purple
02 Shade: Candy Pink
03 Shade: Pearly White
04 Shade: Velvet Plum

But it turns out I need more than just the Shimmer Cubes :)

MMF Face & Body brush @rm68

MMF Lip and Cheek Stain 01 Rose Pink @rm39

I always wanted to try using lip stain and I'm so happy The Body Shop finally got it in their range. I was waiting for MAC to have this lip stain but they still don't have it here.

MMF Lip Liner 02 Beech 2008 @rm29.90

Every girl need a nude lip liner, yes? no? ^^

MMF Brow & Lash Gel 01 Clear 2009 @39

I'm not sure how to use this and what effect will it bring. This is perfect when I don't want to use mascara but I still want my eyelash to stay in shape after I curl it, the gel helps the eyelash stay in shape :) also you can use it on the eyebrows, especially if you have bushy eyebrows.

MMF Eye Definer 11 Vibrant Emerald 2009 @rm35

To match my dress colour, I'm going to use it during Christmas :)

MMF Atomiser Sparkler 01 B/Pink 2011 @rm89

I have fallen in love with this one. This is my very first sparkler spray :D It's in pink some more!~

Mirror Compact Jewel @36.90

I know why I bought this... because it's cute!! :D

There are two type of mirrors, the plane mirror (simple the straight up mirror) and the curved-convex mirror (err I think).

Phew.. I love all the products that I bought last weekend. I really love holiday and shopping, wee...
